April 3:

Freezing rain likely Tuesday night followed by rain Wednesday. Hazards: Freezing rain with ice accretion up to 5 mm possible. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm possible. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Timing: Freezing rain beginning Tuesday evening or Tuesday night changing to rain Wednesday afternoon or Wednesday evening.

Discussion: A period of freezing rain appears likely beginning Tuesday evening or Tuesday night before transitioning to rain later Wednesday. The most significant freezing rain is expected in the Ottawa Valley and areas west including Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury and North Bay. The rain is expected to taper off Wednesday night.
