Haunted Hustle celebrating 10th anniversary

The South Temiskaming Active Travel Organization (STATO) Haunted Hustle takes place October 27 starting at City Hall in Haileybury.

It incorporates a number of events in its lineup including a full marathon distance, half marathon and five- and ten-kilometre distances and the Greyt Relay for Youth in memory of Greyson Zubyck.

It has become a Halloween-themed tradition among Northern Ontario runners and walkers where participants dress up in costumes adding a fun element to the run along scenic Lake Temiskaming.

Everyone who registers will have their name entered for a door prize of a pair of Oakley Sunglasses valued at $200 donated by Dr. Casey Baldovin.

Race registrants will receive a specially designed cooler bag.

Anyone wishing to volunteer can register online or email statohauntedhustle@gmail.com.

It’s also a perfect venue for high school students looking to complete their community volunteer hour requirements.
