Kirkland Lake’s Cesar Forero is pictured above with his self-portrait, one of more than two dozen works on display as part of Portraits, North of 17 at the Temiskaming Art Gallery. It features the work of four artists from across the Northeast, including Temiskaming’s Bruce Cull, Iris Shields, Sue Gamble and Forero. Each contributed a self-portrait, a portrait of someone significant in his or her life, a portrait of someone important to the community, and an interpretation of a portrait by the 17th century Dutch master Rembrandt. The Haileybury art gallery is the final stop for the touring exhibition, which closes January 17. (Staff photo by Diane Johnston)
