Temporary closure of Highway 562 on Sunday, Sept. 13
THORNLOE (Special) — The Ministry of Transportation, in cooperation with the ONR, hereby gives notice to the public that Highway 562 in Thornloe will be temporarily closed in order to complete necessary upgrades to the railway crossing.
Highway 562 in Thornloe will be closed for approximately 12 hours Sunday, September 13, from approximately 6:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.
Motorists wanting to use Highway 562 going west from Highway 11 will be detoured onto (Thornloe) Young Street going north to Highway 11. Local traffic will be allowed in the Village of Thornloe area only.
Motorists heading east on Highway 562 from Highway 65 will be detoured onto Highway 571 going north through Earlton to Highway 11.
Traffic using Milberta Road and Miller Road wishing to use Highway 562 will have to go west on Highway 571.
Traffic Control Persons will be at the (Thornloe) Young Street detour and the Highway 571 detour if the public is in need of further details and direction.
