The province’s Special Investigations Unit of the OPP say police were involved in an incident on Portage Bay Road in Coleman Township on the evening of March 7. Police say there was an exchange of gunfire with the occupants of a fleeing vehicle. A 26-year-old male is dead and a 76-year-old male resident of Portage Bay Road was injured with non-life threatening injuries. A 23-year-old man who fled the scene on foot was taken into custody.
