ENGLEHART (Special) – Tne emergency department at the Englehart hospital reopens today (March 7) at 6 p.m.

A shortage o physicians forced the department to close temporarily on the evening of March 5.

“We thank our patients and the community for their patience and understanding,” said Jorge VanSlyke, CEO of Blanche River Health, which oversees hospitals in Englehart and Kirkland Lake, in a news release.

“We recognize the impact of a temporary ED (emergency department) closure, and we remain committed to leaving no stone unturned as we continue to attract and recruit more physicians to our area.”
