TEMISKAMING SHORES – The Christmas spirit hits New Liskeard this week.
On Thursday (November 23), the New Liskeard Business Improvement Area group sponsors the Festival of Lights.
The trees in the downtown cenotaph park will be illuminated, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will pay a visit.
Festivities begin at 6 p.m.
Then it’s the 2023 edition of the Village Noël Temiskaming.
The fairgrounds will be transformed into a mini village of artisans, food providers and exhibitors beginning Thursday evening and continuing through Saturday at 8 p.m.
Visitors can take in live music and dance performances, shop, toss an axe (safely), make a Christmas centrepiece, learn about the area’s history and cultures, and much more.
The illuminated Santa Claus parade begins making its way through the downtown at 5 p.m. Saturday.
