DISTRICT — Environment Canada has issued a weather warning involving frost for the Temiskaming region.
Temperatures are expected to drop to near or just below the freezing mark overnight into early Wednesday morning. Therefore a frost advisory is in effect.
Tonight will be mostly clear with the wind north at 30 km/h gusting to 50, then becoming light before morning. The low will be around minus 3 with frost and the wind chill will sink to minus 9 overnight.
Some plants may be damaged or even destroyed by frost. Frost may return for some areas Wednesday night.
Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.
