DISTRICT — The Ontario Provincial Police are  advising drivers to stay off area roads, including Highway 11, north and  south, as the highway is closed from Marten River to Matheson because of white out conditions and blowing snow.

Highway 65 East  to the Quebec border has also been closed due to a winter storm.

The police are advising people not to travel today because of treacherous road conditions.
