At the recent family fishing derby on the Haileybury waterfront, Alice Edwards caught her first fish ever – a big pike. She posed for a photo with Tri Town Region Crime Stoppers board member Norm Mclean. The March 26 catch-and-release derby drew 34 anglers, with the youngest aged only two. The event, complete with a barbeque and kids’ games, was organized by Crime Stoppers, Temiskaming Shores and Area Rotary Club, and MADD Temiskaming.
