In its latest update, the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry reports that a forest fire located about 25 kilometres west of Elk Lake remains under control at 4 hectares.

At 5 p.m. July 25, Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services rated the forest fire danger in the Temiskaming area as moderate.
