DISTRICT — A major winter storm is expected to move through the Temiskaming region beginning Sunday, December 28 through until Monday night says Environment Canada.

The storm is expected to bring snowfall in the amounts of 30-50 centimetres, reducing visibility to near zero in heavy blowing snow.

Northerly wind gusts are expected upwards of 60 kmh as well.
