OPP SEEKS PUBLICS HELP IN SOLVING SUSPICIOUS FIRE

DISTRICT (Special-Staff) – Members of the Temiskaming Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are seeking information to help solve a suspicious fire which occurred at 32 Baker Street in the Town of Cobalt. On August 16 the Temiskaming OPP were called to assist the Cobalt Fire Department with the investigation.

The fire destroyed a camper and the residence sustained some damage. The Cobalt Fire Department requested the assistance of the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office.

Investigation into this fire is ongoing.  Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for the fire should contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or the Temiskaming OPP Crime Unit at 705-647-8400.
