Snow squall warning continues

Lake effect snow squalls are expected to continue today and tonight, with locally heavy snowfall in accumulations of 10 to 25 centimetres. Visibility will be poor at times.

Lake effect snow squalls off Georgian Bay are expected today as a low pressure system moves across Northern Ontario, enhancing snowfall. These snow squalls will shift south of the area tonight. Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Road closures are possible.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
