TEMISKAMING SHORES (Staff/Special) — The Temiskaming Summer Skating School has finished for this year.
It was a great success and all skaters worked very hard and achieved their goals, said club president Sharron Graydon.
The power skaters are ready for tryouts and a busy winter, she added.
Graydon thanked the skaters, parents, coaches, committee members, dance partner Tim White from North Bay, and judges/evaluators Mary Henderson of Sudbury and Sylvie Jeanneault of Kapuskasing.
A winter registration is taking place at the Don Shepherdson Memorial Arena in New Liskeard on Thursday, August 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for all programs including CanSkate, Parents and Tots Star Skate, and Power Skating sessions.
Graydon says this will be a busy year celebrating New Liskeard Skating Club’s 80th year and Temiskaming Summer Skating School’s 30th year.
Everyone is urged to watch for celebration news.
