Elliot Lake resident Katrin Chitaroni is the winner of this year’s Great Silver Nugget Race in Cobalt. The Cobalt Mining Museum and Mrs. Chitaroni split the funds raised from the event, with $1,555 for each. The race took place Saturday, August 20 on Cobalt’s Bunker Lane, with Timmins-James Bay
