Fireworks will be set off around Lake Temiskaming at 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

Weather permitting, a helicopter will also take an afternoon tour around Lake Temiskaming at 2:30 p.m. before the big fireworks display begins.

Residents who live around Lake Temiskaming will set off fireworks to light up the night sky to celebrate the New Year, as will the City of Temiskaming Shores at the New Liskeard and Haileybury marinas.

People can support this fundraiser by dropping food in a bin located at the North Cobalt Flea Market, which will be divided between the three area food banks.
