Police reported earlier this afternoon (Tuesday) that one person had been taken into custody from a residence in New Liskeard, and there is no threat to public safety.

In a Twitter posting about half an hour earlier, the OPP North East Region reported that Temiskaming OPP were investigating a threats occurrence at Timiskaming District Secondary School, and the public was asked to avoid the area. No one was reported to have been injured.
