ENGLEHART (Staff) — Hydro One states that the equipment repair has been completed, and all customers in the Englehart and surrounding area were returned to full power by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13.
Earlier in the day, more than 3,000 customers were without power.
In Dack Township, the office of the Municipality of Charlton and Dack was experiencing shaking of their building as a storm was at its highest peak. Throughout the remainder of the day, hydro continued to flicker.
Communities affected by the power outage included Englehart, Larder Lake, McGarry, Dack, Sharpe, McVittie, Marter, Bayly, Evanturel, Marquis, Robillard, Ingram, Gauthier, Arnold, Lebel, Chamberlain, Charlton and Savard.
Hydro One said that the outage was due to an equipment failure.
