COLEMAN TOWNSHIP — The Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say they were notified of human remains found in Coleman Township, South East of Cobalt. Temiskaming OPP, with assistance from the OPP Forensic Identification Unit (FIS), the OPP Crime Unit and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) are continuing to investigate this incident. The Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology  Service (OCC-FPS) are also engaged in this investigation. Police say the identity of the deceased person has not been confirmed and a post-mortem examination will take place at a later date.
