NORTH BAY – A high-pressure system that’s bringing warm and dry conditions to the Upper Ottawa River and Sturgeon River watersheds is credited with helping water levels subside.
But the North Bay district of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is advising the public that water levels in some areas remains high.
In an update today (Monday, May 8), it has extended the flood warning until Friday, May 12.
The warning covers Temiskaming Shores, Cobalt, Lorrain and South Lorrain, the Tilden Lake area and points south.
It said daytime temperatures in the coming days will climb from about 15 degrees to 20 degrees C. Nighttime temperatures will range from approximately zero to 10 degrees C.
