Thanks to reduced forest fire risk, the Restricted Fire Zone covering Temagami and points to the south and west has been lifted.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry announced the lifting of the ban yesterday (August 24), and formally thanked the public for its cooperation “in reducing the number of human-caused fires.”

In Temagami, the municipality noted that any burning must comply with municipal bylaws.
