GENERATING INTEREST

Interest from a new Smart and Caring Fund will be invested in projects that enhance Temiskaming Shores’ way of life. Fueled by annual contributions over 22 years of $18,000 from Canadian Solar Inc. and TransCanada Energy, the owners of two solar projects, the fund will eventually reach almost $400,000.

Property assessments in the mail

DISTRICT (Staff) -- Property taxpayers across Ontario are now receiving notices of their property assessments in the mail.The notice will show the assessed value and classification of a property based on the legislated valuation date of January 1, 2012, which will be in place for the 2013-2016 property
