Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the region from Kirkland Lake in the north to Temagami in the south, including Englehart and Temiskaming Shores.
A winter storm with 15 to 25 centimetres of snow and blowing snow will begin Tuesday afternoon and continue into Wednesday.
Environment Canada states that snow will begin Tuesday afternoon. Easterly winds gusting up to 60 kilometres an hour will cause reduced visibility in blowing snow. Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 centimetres are possible before the snow tapers off Wednesday afternoon. Travel is likely to be affected, Environment Canada warns.
This snow is associated with a Colorado Low that will cross Ontario Tuesday and Wednesday.
