Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Temiskaming Shores and Temagami areas on Wednesday.
Strong winds are expected Wednesday (October 12) with gusts of 70 km/h to 90 km/h. Stronger wind gusts will be possible in showers or thunderstorms.
They’re forecast to begin Wednesday afternoon and end overnight.
It advises that gusty winds can damage soft shelters, tents and awnings at outdoor events. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or property damage.
High winds may result in power outages and fallen tree branches.
