The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry advises residents of the North Bay District – which covers Temiskaming Shores and points south – that the flood watch has been extended until Thursday (May 4).
The slow-moving low-pressure system that brought significant rainfall to the province over the weekend is expected to affect weather in the district until Thursday before a high-pressure ridge pushes in from the west.
Northern reaches of the district could see an additional 12 millimetres of precipitation today through Thursday. Day-time highs are expected to remain around 11 degrees C with night-time lows ranging from 3 to 5 degrees Celsius.
Southern reaches of the district could see up to seven mm of precipitation, day-time highs around 10 degrees C and night-time lows around 5 degrees C during the same time period.
In the Tilden Lake area, meanwhile, a warning of continued or imminent flooding has been extended until Thursday.
