DISTRICT (Staff) – All areas in the Temiskaming district are under a frost advisory issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada.
The advisory is in effect from Tuesday afternoon, August 25 until Wednesday morning, August 26. Patchy frost is expected.
In Temiskaming Shores, the temperature is expected to drop to 6 degrees Celsius during the night.
Environment and Climate Change Canada state that “frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas.”
Portions of Northeastern Ontario could be impacted, particularly higher terrain and areas away from inland lankes.
It is recommended that people take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.
