Freezing Rain Warning

Freezing Rain Warning

New Liskeard – Temagami

Issued at 15:43 Monday 07 March 2016

Several hours of freezing rain or freezing drizzle expected Tuesday. Latest indications suggest that freezing rain, freezing drizzle and perhaps ice pellets will reach Northeastern Ontario Tuesday morning. A changeover to rain is anticipated late Tuesday morning in the Chapleau to New Liskeard area and late Tuesday afternoon for the Timmins and Kapuskasing areas as temperatures rise to above the freezing mark. Travelling conditions are expected to deteriorate quickly after the freezing precipitation arrives. Untreated surfaces may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to storm.ontario@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #ONStorm. Find out more ›
