Police announce identification

DISTRICT (Staff) — The Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have identified the male pedestrian who was killed on Lakeshore Road in Haileybury earlier today. Pedestrian, Rejean Lajoie, 65, of Haileybury was struck by a southbound single-occupant automobile, say police. Police say Lakeshore Road South is presently closed in both directions and a detour is available.
