NEW LISKEARD (Staff) — A power outage that affected a total of 762 customers in the New Liskeard area on Tuesday afternoon, January 7, has now ended. Approximately half those customers were only affected for a brief period of time as the hydro crews worked to resolve the issue which caused the outage.

A failed switch was identified as the cause.

The incident began at approximately 12:35 p.m. and hydro was returned to customers by 2 p.m.
