Tire slashing investigation continuing

TEMISKAMING SHORES (Staff) – Police have released a video in hopes that the public can help solve a rash of tire slashings in Cobalt.

Temiskaming Ontario Provincial Police responded to about 11 tire slashing incidents in the town in October and November.

Last week, police released a video about 12 seconds in length, and are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the subject.

Investigation is continuing, said Renee Taylor, the detachment’s community services officer.
“We will follow up on all incoming tips,” she said in an email.

Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to contact the OPP, at 1-888-310-1122, or Crime Stoppers, at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
