First Degree Murder Charge

Police have confirmed that the deceased man whose body was located in New Liskeard earlier this week is Eloi Langlois, 46, of Haileybury.

An 18-year-old New Liskeard man, Curtis Johnas Rundle, has been charged with first degree murder.

He will appear February 4 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury.

Temiskaming Ontario Provincial Police said January 30 the cause of death is unknown. The results of an autopsy have yet to be released.

Police say the body of Mr. Langlois was located at about 1:30 a.m. January 29 at an address near Lakeshore Road.

The OPP Criminal Investigation Branch under the direction of Detective Inspector Rob Hagerman and the Temiskaming crime unit are continuing the investigation.

Police ask anyone with information pertaining to the case to contact the OPP, at 1-888-310-1122, or Crime Stoppers, at 1-800-222-8477.
